Daniel Zopoula is the Archbishop and founding Pastor at the Miz City Church in Lethbridge, Alberta. The Miz City Church is a convergence church, which looks to unite parishioners in the word of the Lord.
In addition to leading the congregation at the southern Alberta church, Daniel Zopoula is also founder and President of the Bridges of Hope International Network. Bridges of Hope is a multinational charity dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.
Daniel Zopoula was born in Burkina Faso, West Africa and moved to Canada at a young age to pursue his studies. Despite moving abroad, Daniel never forgot about his humble upbringing. After migrating to Canada in the early 90’s, Daniel studied the Bible and theology at a variety of schools, seminaries and institutes including: Logos Christian University, Ambrose University and the Full Gospel Bible Institute. He earned his doctoral degree from Logos Christian University in Florida.
Daniel’s desire to help and teach people prompted him to start the Bridges of Hope International Network in the late 90’s. In addition to the charity’s poverty reduction work, they also partner with nonprofit organizations to assist with everything from fresh water wells to hospitals, orphanages, farm crops, and education. Bridges of Hope also partners with indigenous people to facilitate and support sustainable enterprise, which in turn creates employment opportunities.
Aside from his theological and philanthropic endeavors, Daniel is also an accomplished public speaker who is often invited to speak about his charity’s efforts in developing countries. He has also authored two books, More Than Nothing, which was published in 2008, and his second book, The Wars On Unity, which is currently in the editing phase and slated for publication in the coming year.
Daniel Zopoula is the recipient of the Orders of Burkina Faso, an award he received for his global contribution to international development and his philanthropic reach and impact. Daniel is also a lecturer and dean at the Logos Burkina University.
Daniel is also an avid entrepreneur, he is the senior consultant at Life Direction Training and Consulting Incorporated, a consulting firm specializing in unleashing the hidden potential and worth of people everywhere. He is also a communication, personal growth, and pastoral health consultant who uses his platforms for philanthropic reach and impact.
Before founding of the Miz City Church congregation, Daniel served as senior pastor at the Lumsden Apostolic Church, as well as a lead pastor at the River of Life Community Church in Lethbridge. Currently, Archbishop Daniel Zopoula provides spiritual counsel as well as customized intensive therapeutic experiences for individuals, families, couples, leaders, churches and groups.
